MyWeightLab distinguishes essential site functions from optional Google Analytics. Our privacy policy describes the wider processing of website and contact data.
Essential site functions
WordPress authentication cookies support signed-in accounts. Cloudflare may set security cookies or show challenges when needed to protect the website. These functions do not depend on accepting optional Google Analytics.
Your analytics choice
The localStorage record mwl-analytics-consent contains only an accept/reject choice, a preference version and an expiry date, valid for up to 180 days. It is used to remember your privacy choice. If storage is unavailable, the site still works and the choice may need to be repeated.
Optional Google Analytics
When a Google Analytics connection is available, accepting analytics permits its script and requests. Its _ga and measurement-specific _ga_… cookies distinguish browsers for usage reports, with a configured lifetime of up to 180 days. Rejecting prevents this integration from loading Google code. Advertising-related consent remains denied.
You can reopen Cookie settings at any time to withdraw consent. Withdrawal disables further collection by this integration and removes its Google Analytics cookies. Previously collected information is not automatically erased by changing this setting.
Cloudflare Web Analytics
Cloudflare separately adds its existing cookie-free analytics beacon at the network edge. Cloudflare states that this service does not use cookies or localStorage for analytics and does not fingerprint visitors. Google analytics choices do not control Cloudflare security processing or this separate beacon. See our privacy policy for its documented scope.
Future services
The newsletter is a preview and currently accepts no subscriptions. Advertising pixels and active affiliate offers are not enabled. Their future use will require appropriate disclosures and privacy controls.
