MyWeightLab is an independent health information publication covering the science, medicine and practical reality of weight management. We follow obesity treatments, nutrition research, physical activity and the questions people face when trying to make changes that last.
What we are building
Our newsroom has two jobs: explain developments that deserve attention, and keep useful guides easy to find after the headlines move on. The Essentials is an editorially selected reading list. Our Drug Tracker separates clinical development from regulatory approval and distinguishes US and European decisions.
Who writes here
Our initial articles carry the byline MyWeightLab Editorial Team, a publication identity rather than a claim about a named clinician. We are not a medical practice. We do not claim that articles have been reviewed by a doctor when no independent clinician has participated.
How we work
Articles are researched using regulatory documents, prescribing information, clinical trial records, peer-reviewed studies and public health guidance. Research and editorial tools, including AI, assist parts of our workflow. Factual claims, sources, context and wording are checked before an article is approved for publication. These checks are editorial evidence review, not individual medical advice or independent clinical review.
We identify manufacturer announcements as sponsor evidence, explain important study limitations and separate unknown information from established findings. Publication is the beginning of maintenance: dated evidence checks and meaningful corrections help readers assess freshness.
Our commitments
- Evidence before promotional enthusiasm.
- Respect for people of different body sizes, backgrounds and abilities.
- No fabricated experts, testimonials, credentials or product testing.
- Clear separation between editorial material and any future commercial relationships.
